Week 8 Day 1
Paris
Paris continues to be a sweetheart. My son loves to hold him because he melts in his hands and will relax in very odd positions. He is very active in the morning but is laid back the rest of the day. He loves to play with his siblings and also loves being held and petted.
Week 7 Day 3
The puppies are going to their new homes this week so this is my last posting. As a group, they are big and beautiful with rich coats. They are also very relaxed. Their crate training has been going very well and they are now up to 8 hours (from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am or from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am) without any accidents. They are very affectionate and love to be with us.

Week 6 Day 2
I have been away for the past 2 days so my wife and son did all the video and comments. Now, I am home and they are out for the day. As a result, I will be copying their comments forward since I have only had this morning to interact with the puppies. I did the personality test, so I probably could make some comments but I prefer to have a larger sample of behavior before making individual comments. The results of the personality testing from this morning are posted below. Just a quick comment: they are fairly consistent in responses. The only exception was Berlin who was by far the most eager to please and be with me. It took a minute to get him to pay attention to anything but me, but once he did, he was the only puppy who retrieved. This is pretty early for that behavior so it shows that he is very eager to please. My other exception was London who was very interested but did not bring it back and couldn't be coaxed to do so--still a fun response at this age. All the puppies followed with ease and came when I crouched down. They have the typical golden retriever response to elevation and being restrained (relaxed, acting like this is a sign of love and resting content). Most investigate sights and sounds without hesitation and none showed signs of being shy. Click the link below to view the results.

Week 5 Day 3
These puppies keep getting more and more stunning! They look like most are going to have full coats and will have some slight coloration that leads to beautiful markings later on. They are also very relaxed as a group and friendly. They have adapted to the training. I will try to get personality testing results up on Wednesday, along with a final round of videos/comments to help with selection beginning Thursday. I can't wait to have all of you come visit with this group!

Week 4 Day 3
The puppies are big, relaxed and very contented. They have been doing fantastic at their conditioning training. All of them are more relaxed and love being with us. They have begun to be playful and to explore. It is so fun to watch them grow. Mini (Paris) is doing great at all of the growth goals and maturity steps. The other six continue to mature and look beautiful. They look like they will have a little bit of color (like Asteroid on our home page). These look to be some of the most beautiful puppies that I have had.

Tizona's puppies are growing well and look beautiful. They still sleep most of the time so our comments are fairly limited. That said, they are getting more active and showing some personality. The testing is interesting because they are not fond (as a group) of the treats and mostly just enjoy being held. They already seem to enjoy spending time with us.

Week 3 Day 3
The puppies are doing great and got their names today. I named them after capital city names for countries-lots of cute names! They are eating solid food and walking around everywhere now. I don't have anything to say about them individually yet, since this is their first day with names. As a group, except for mini, these are big, beautiful puppies (and mini is incredibly cute)!

Week 2 Day 7
The puppies have started eating solid food and are really moving around now. They still spend most of their time sleeping, but when they are awake, they like to explore. They now hold their heads up when they walk, at least most of the time, so they look more like little adults. As a group, they are beautiful and should grow up to be gorgeous adults. Tizona raises some fantastic puppies! We will begin their next set of training soon so that will get us a lot more information on their personalities.
Week 2 Day 4
Tizona continues to feed these puppies to the full. They are large, relaxed, and sleepy. They spend most of their day milk drunk, laying around and sleeping so I don't have much to say about them. They are done with neurological stimulation and will start conditioned response training later this week.
They are cute and beautiful, as you will see in the pictures. Pictures are of the smallest puppy and one of the large puppies so that you can see the difference. Six puppies are similar in size and looks to the large one and the small puppy is unique. He is also the most active. I introduced the puppies to solid food yesterday and there was no interest, which did not surprise me at all. They have absolutely no need for any extra food yet.

Wow! Tizona is obviously an experienced mother--her puppies are huge. I am guessing that by the end of next week, they will be bigger than Belka's puppies and they will be just about 3 weeks younger. Six of the puppies are already going to be over 3 pounds and the other (the small one) is probably 2 pounds and average size for the other group of puppies (at this age). They are also beautiful and have nice coats and coloration.
Neurological stimulation has been going well. They are average in their response. They are not the most relaxed and not the most active group that I have had. I expect that they will be less active than Belka's simply because they will be milk drunk a lot. Their eyes are now open and they are crawling around a lot more. The puppies continue to do well, though we have one that has not grown as it should (a boy). He is about half the size of the others--even though he eats well, so we are caring for him a lot. Hopefully, they will start on solid food in the next week and the little one can catch up. The neurological stimulation continues to go well. They have already figured it out and are comfortable in all of the positions. They are crawling a lot now and can move around many feet. They are incredibly sweet at this age already.
Week 1 Day 1
Tizona is a great mother and her puppies are getting big real quickly. They already are relaxed during the neurological stimulation. They can crawl to their mother but their eyes are still closed so they do so using smell to guide them. They still spend most of their day sleeping--which is a great sign because they are content and full. The pictures of the puppies were really cute and my wife took dozens of them--but I told her she could only post 5 so she has 6.
Week 0
Day 5
The puppies have had their dew claws removed and are continuing to get their neurological stimulation. Sadly, one of the females passed away. The first week is always the time that any difficulties will show up. It looks like she was not able to digest properly. We gave her extra help the last day, when we started to notice that she was not able to compete, but she passed this morning. The rest of the puppies are strong and active and have grown as we would expect so we don't anticipate any other problems.
Day 3
The puppies are doing great. They are full and content. Tizona has lots of milk and that means that they spend most of their time either eating or sleeping right now. Tizona is a happy mother. She loves her puppies and knows how to care for them well. The puppies still have their pink skin. Tomorrow they will have their dew claws removed. Today, they will begin neurological stimulation. That is always fun--to see how they will respond to the various positions.
Day 1
Tizona had 8 puppies last night! My initial check is that there are 4 boys and 4 girls. They are all large and are nursing well. Tizona has lots of milk so they will be growing quickly. Tizona is very happy--she seems thrilled to be a mother again. So happy for her easy delivery.
