Rhiannon's Blog for April 26, 2022 Litter
6 Weeks 7 Days
This will be my last post for these puppies. I enjoyed a visit with one of the families yesterday and realized that these videos are really doing justice to these puppies personalities. These are tremendous puppies that love me and love people. They enjoy hanging out with people, playing together and exploring. As a group, they are beautiful and amazingly friendly.

5 Weeks 5 Days
You will see from the videos that I caught the puppies during their normal awake period. They were more like their normal personalities, coming right to me and exploring. They love being outdoors and will go off on their own and then come back to me. As a group, they are very good at following and will follow me outside, if I call them. Porsche was even brave enough to make it down 3 of my steps. Hopefully the videos will give a better idea of what their personalities are like. Enjoy!

Lexus is very active and super friendly. She always comes to me and loves being on my lap. She has a unique personality--I don't think I have ever had a dog who loves me as much as she does that is an active dog. Because of this, I would guess she will be very smart and trainable--though it is too early to be certain.

Mercedes likes to explore and is more independent. She follows well but will go play on her own if I don't pet her.

Porsche also likes to explore and like Mercedes, will follow me around the room but go and play if I don't pet her. She loves being held and is super relaxed when I hold her.

5 Weeks 3 Days
Here are the things that are true of each of the puppies at this point. All of them love to be held. This group looks like they have thick wavy fur and are super attractive. They are doing great at conditioning and love their sour cream! They love to play with each other and my wife says that they all groomed really well (toe nails trimmed). And as all groups of this age, they still spend a lot of time sleeping.

Beemer is fairly relaxed and friendly. He also likes to explore but will come back to us after a short stint away. I loaded a second Beemer video because I had it.

Lexus loved her bath time and loves to follow me around the house. She is our smallest girl but is active and friendly. As you will see in the video, there is no place like right next to me!

Mercedes was excellent at being groomed and was very easy to handle. She likes to be with people but also explores.

Porsche loves to be held and cuddled. She likes to explore and is very balanced. She and Mercedes were woken up so I have two videos to show a little bit of movement--they are normally much more playful.

4 Weeks 3 Days
The puppies are now named and I will be able to give individual comments on their next post. They have definitely gotten personality now and they are super fun. They totally love the conditioning--I have been able to show several people that have been over how incredible they are at it. They are healthy, active, and are getting super cute. They had their first bath today and were fairly relaxed in it. I have three pictures of each puppy below.

3 Weeks 3 Days
The puppies continue to grow like weeds. They are becoming more active now and will start to show their personalities. Conditioning is going great--as always, I become their favorite human being and I think I compete for affection with their mother. Here are the six things that I do. 1) Pull tail 2) Rub fur backwards 3) Twist ears 4) Hold muzzle shut for 5 seconds 5) Rub inside of mouth and around teeth 5) Pinch between toes. I do these activities to get them ready for life--they may get their tails pulled or their ears twisted by children and the vet will examine their teeth and their groomer will cut the fur between their toes. However, I start these activities very lightly and gently and give them a reward that totally distracts them (a dab of sour cream that they suck off of my finger). What always amazes me is that they are not only being conditioned to these activities but they will see all of our actions as good. They LOVE sour cream and that makes everything worth it for them. I love it because they fall in love with me and at the same time are becoming so ready for their future lives.
I have 2 pictures of each puppy this time since we missed our posting last Wednesday (miscommunication between my wife and I). I have the pictures labelled with either Boy or Girl One, Two, Three. They will be getting names soon and then I will post 3 pictures and eventually videos. You will also notice that they are eating solid foods now. My girls have faces that need washing, which I typically begin at week 4. They are still cute and as a reminder, the friendliest puppies typically get the worst pictures because they are moving towards me too quickly for my phone camera--so try not to fall too much in love with a puppy based on any one set of pictures.

2 Weeks 4 Days
This is the last day of neurological stimulation. The puppies will now melt in my hands in all of the positions. They are growing fast, their eyes are open and they are walking around. They aren't eating solid foods yet but that will probably start this week. Rhiannon continues to amaze me at how good of a mother she is.
1 Week 7 Days
The puppies are continuing to grow and are huge now. They still spend most of their time sleeping, waking up to eat. Their eyes are just barely peaking open. Neurological stimulation is going just as it should. They are learning and becoming comfortable in all of the positions. Rhiannon is doing super well. She is a very smart mother and has been one of the easiest mothers to care for. I have assumed the pictures labels were obvious but just in case, there are three pictures of the girls and a single picture of the boy. I will continue to do it this way until they get their names.
1 Week 4 Days
The puppies are doing fantastic and are really fat. Rhiannon is a fantastic mother. For now, the puppies spend most of their time sleeping, waking up to eat and then going back to sleep content. As you will see in the pictures, they are already super cute!
Day 5
The puppies are all really plump and happy. They are growing well and Rhiannon is a super mom--she is very aware of where her puppies are and makes our job easy. The puppies look really cute for this age. They make cute puppy grunting sounds when they are eating.
Day 1
Rhiannon gave birth to 4 puppies this morning. She has 3 girls and 1 boy. All are nicely sized and eating well. Rhiannon is doing great as a mother. My son has a picture of them on his phone that I will upload when I get access to it.
