7 Weeks 1 Day
This group of puppies has been incredible! They are so friendly and loving. It is going to be a great joy to see them in their new homes because I know that they will love their families and also be loved. At the same time, it is always hard to say goodbye to them after spending the time with them that we do. As a reminder, this is our last post before they will go to their new families (we have a lot of other work that we do the week that they go home, so I don't post).

6 Weeks 2 Days
We are posting this morning to try to give one last glimpse into these puppies. They have started to develop more distinct personalities so our comments are here to help guide you. Hopefully, you will be able to see the traits that are most valuable to you in these comments. However, the personalities are continuing to emerge so these are still very tentative. My experience and research tells me that most of what a puppy becomes is built upon the early training that I give and that they receive when they go to their new homes. All of these puppies are social and will be moldable.

5 Weeks 7 Days
The puppies personalities continue to emerge. The most dramatic changes in personality were to Cocoa and Eggnog. Both of them became much more active and inquisitive. Cocoa uses his activity to play with us. Eggnog both plays with us and explores. The other puppies continue to be very relaxed but I would expect that they will also have continued personality growth between today and when they go home. Hopefully, the test and comments, along with visits will help everyone find the perfect puppy for their family.

Here are the results of the personality test. They are very similar except in touch sensitivity, degree of retrieving developed, and response to sounds. I included some observations in their comments below.

Cocoa is loving and has begun to have a more active personality. He has started to explore his world and is much more outwardly expressive. He was very inquisitive during testing and continued to enjoy the activities after we were done testing. Cocoa is vocal and likes to be with his siblings. You can see his activity in the video.

Mocha
Mocha was much more relaxed and similar to last week than Cocoa. He still preferred to rest in my lap and would have stayed there instead of testing, if allowed. He is friendly and loves being with us.

Champagne is playful but also loves to be held. She has a white, short coat. and is our smallest puppy. She will explore a little bit at this point, but won't venture too far from us.

Cocoa is relaxed and super loving. He would spend all day in my arms, being petted and playing with my fingers. He has a thick, wavy coat and super beautiful.

4 Weeks 7 Days
The puppies are all doing fantastic and are big, beautiful, and social. They are all fairly relaxed though they have started to explore more (which is typical for this age). They have discovered play and have begun to play around with each other. They love their conditioning time and are very patient already. We have their names and first videos ready. Comments are still pretty limited because the name tags only went on 2 days ago.

3 Weeks 7 Days
The pups are now walking all over their pen and have discovered food and water! They attempt to play but it ends up more like falling all over each other. It's so cute! Occasionally one will find its voice box and startle itself. At this point Belka is still letting them nurse but she will probably start to wean them soon. They are all chubby and healthy. Next week we will name them and begin posting videos instead of pictures.
We have begun conditioning which is the following six actions followed by a treat of sour cream: 1) pull tail 2) rub fur backwards 3) pull ears 4) rub inside of mouth 5) hold mouth shut for 5 seconds 6) pinch between toes. We do this so that they associate good (sour cream is the ultimate treat) with activities that they may encounter by surprise (actions 1-3) or by design at the vet (actions 4-6) to make them just a little more prepared for their later lives.

3 Weeks 1 Day
All of Belka's puppies are doing great. The boys continue to be larger than the girls but all are a very good size. Four of these puppies have just a little color that tends to lead to the cute coloration on their ears and almost gives them a highlighted look. The other two should be more of the solid white, though that can change too. We will begin the conditioning process on Monday. That is my favorite part of this entire process. It is then that the puppies get a strong attachment to us because they love the sour cream so much. It was a beautiful day outside, so the puppies got a few minutes outdoors for our pictures.

Week 2 Day 5
Belka's Boys
These sweet puppies are beginning to toddle around and their eyes have fully opened. They still sleep most of the time and Belka dotes on them continuously. They are super snuggly right now and enjoyed getting their first baths.

This litter is very content and snuggly. They are just about ready to open their eyes and they scoot after momma when she tries to have a break. Their noses have turned black and their ears are fuzzy velvet. This is one of my favorite stages! They change on a daily basis this week. The boys continue to be visibly larger than the girls (not always true of our puppies).
Week 0 Day 7
All of the puppies are doing great and getting big. They are spending a lot of time eating and the rest of the time sleeping. They continue to be quite mobile. Belka does not have to be right next to them all of the time now--because they are very content when not nursing (she has a lot of milk!). They seem to be a fairly relaxed group of puppies based on the early neurological stimulation compared to other groups. However, that may just them being full on milk. I have one group picture, 2 pictures of the 4 girls, and 2 pictures of the 2 boys. Both of the boys are much bigger than the girls.

Belka had 6 puppies yesterday, Friday the 13th.It was a good day! She had 4 girls and 2 boys. All of the puppies are eating well and obviously contented. They are quite mobile and very cute.
