These are gorgeous puppies! They are at their cute stage and they all seem to know how to pose for the camera. They are crate training and they seem to be more cuddly than normal. They love to petted and held and played with. This is my last round of pictures so I hope you enjoy!

Julius has turned into a sweetheart who loves to be with me this last few days. It is so neat to see him come and just sit with me. He simply enjoys being next to me.

6 Weeks 3 Days
I got to meet with everyone except one person this week. It is always a good sign when I get to see multiple puppies winning people's hearts and those with the earlier choices struggling to decide between multiple fantastic choices. A few notes on the puppies' current week--they are crate training. That is always just a bit of an adjustment for them and they have done well so far. They have also had their 6 week shots and dewormer and will be ready for their new homes now. Finally, they also received their microchips. So yes, it was a very busy week for the puppies! Julius had a great week. He as continued to be very relaxed and now he is affectionate as well. He still likes to be independent but he will seek us out for attention and petting.

5 Weeks 6 Days
This week, their personalities have really begun to flash. I will post what I have seen all together to make comparison easier. Crate training begins tomorrow. And they will get their first vaccination tomorrow. As you will see, they have rich coats and beautiful frames. You will see that none of the puppies retrieved. This is very common for early testing. Most have a hard time picking up the paper or tennis ball. That will develop in the next few weeks.
Here are my observations on each puppy.
Julius is my most independent puppy. He likes to explore on his own. He is affectionate but not needy. He is content to do his own thing but loves being held and petted.
Livy has a very similar build and personality to Julius. He is not quite as explorative and is more likely to follow rather than lead.
Plutarch is active, likes to explore, and enjoys play. He is often found with another puppy wrestling.
Seutonius has the most unique personality of this litter. He is very inquisitive and loves to be with us. He is always the first to greet us in the morning. If something odd is happening, it is probably Seutonius.
Tacitus is the most relaxed puppy in this litter. He enjoys being held and petted. He has a large frame and wide head and will be very beautiful. He will play with the others but doesn't initiate it.
Claudia is an explorer. Generally, she will lead the other puppies when they are in a new environment. She is also relaxed and loves being held.
Octavia has begun to take over Claudia's roll of explorer. She likes new things and wants to see her world. She likes to be held, but not after a bath--that is time to play and run.

The puppies have really began to develop their personalities this week. They still sleep a lot and they always sleep in their mound (unique to this group) but when they are awake they are very active and playful. It is so fun to watch as they romp around and explore. They love to play with their stuffed animals. Some even seem to have a favorite already. They are also showing signs of the very full coats, with slight coloration--which will be very beautiful.

Julius is independent but still sleeps in the pile. He likes to be petted and will play with us though he is apt to go exploring on his own.

Tizona's puppies continue to grow bigger and more beautiful every day! They have full coats and big broad faces. They are very friendly and love to be with us. As a group, they love to be with each other and they will almost always sleep in a pile. This was a great week for their photographs. All of them seemed to want to pose for me!

Tizona's puppies are amazing! They are big and beautiful. They seem to have the wavy, full coat of Kobe (which I love), and the broad, full chest and face of Tizona (which I love). They are just beginning to be active so we still have very limited comments on their personalities--but you will see a bit of their spunk coming out in the pictures. Since I was gone for several days, the comments are my son's observations.

Julius is the most active of this group and playfights with Octavia. He loves to sit in our arms, too.

2 Weeks 6 Days
We have named them! They are named after ancient Roman authors (the boys) and famous Roman ladies. The puppies are now very relaxed and enjoy being handled, washed, cuddled and loved. Two things are evident in these pictures: they were sleeping at the time of my pictures and they are a few days younger and don't hold their heads up high yet. That said, they are very nicely built and look to be a gorgeous group. Most, if not all, are blocky and seem to have a very full coat. Their weights are very impressive (yes, the smallest is bigger than my other group). Their temperaments are going to be loving as well. Since the puppies have just received their names, I do not have any individual comments this week. This upcoming week I will be gone and my son and son-in-law will be caring for the puppies, so hopefully they will be able to get me some good information for next Friday/Saturday.
One final note: the pictures are still only a partial representation of the puppies. I try my best to capture what they really look like but there are always puppies that are more or less photogenic. Also, from week to week, one puppy may have better or worse pictures--based solely on my talent (or lack thereof) at getting pictures. Since most, if not all, will be coming to pick out your puppy, please use the pictures as a guide to their looks and my comments in the weeks to come as a small indication of how their personalities are developing. Hope you enjoy the first round! They really are tremendously cute!

Sorry for the delay in posting. My hope is to post on Fridays and then on either Monday or Tuesday from this point forward. Of course, there will be times that I will be unable to do so. Tizona's puppies continue to be enormous. They are all healthy, large, and active. They already crawl around and their eyes have opened. Right now, they are still entirely on mother's milk but they will probably begin eating solid food this week.
This is Tizona's most active group of puppies. They still react to being picked up but they now accept all parts of the neurological stimulation as normal. They are finally totally relaxed in any of the major positions that I will hold them in (one of the goals--because it shows they are learning that this is part of life). Their level of activity should indicate that they are intelligent--though I have never seen a difference between my active puppies and relaxed puppies later.

Day 6
The puppies are all healthy and huge. Tizona is a happy mother and is doing the best job that she ever has at mothering. She has lots of milk and her puppies are growing really well! They are active (more active than Tizona's puppies normally are). I have done several days of the neurological stimulation and they are already getting the routine down. It looks like these will be big and blocky puppies, based upon their initial size.
Day 1 & 2
The puppies are huge and content. Tizona is happy too. I am a little sleep deprived so I will wait for a few days to post significant comments.
Tizona began having puppies this morning. She has 5 puppies so far. Three are boys and 2 are girls. I will keep you updated at various points today and will try to have pictures of them by tomorrow. The puppies are very large (they are as big or bigger than Orcrist's 2 1/2 day olds). My son just told me she has had her 6th puppy (12:42 pm). She just had her 7th puppy (2:30). It looks like 2 girls and 5 boys (first look--normally accurate but I am not positive).
