5 Weeks 5 Days
The puppies are continuing to do great. They are super friendly and loving. Both are very relaxed and love to sit by me. They are both beautiful, with rich, full coats. I took the videos at my son's place so I didn't have my weight scale so there are no weights this week. The puppies have spent a significant amount of time with our older dogs so they should be well adjusted to living with other pets. It was very difficult getting videos of them because as soon as I set them down they came to me, other than the first video where I had just set them down. Still, I think the videos give a pretty good indication of their personalities. Enjoy!

5 Weeks 5 Days
It's been 4 weeks since my last post. I am in the middle of a move so the puppies have been living with my son and daughter-in-law. They are doing fantastic and are super friendly. I get to visit with the puppies when I go see my son and his family so I have a little bit of any idea about their developing personalities. That said, this is the time that they will become much clearer in who they are and what their tendencies will be. Here are a few videos from this morning.

1 Week 5 Days
The last 2 puppies are continuing to do well, but I haven't posted because I am on constant watch and extremely exhausted. My best guess is that the puppies caught something at the vet while Elsa was having the C-section to remove the 2 dead puppies. The puppies are still delicate at this point--it is much harder to keep 2 puppies alive and well than it is 8. Hopefully, by week 3 I will be confident in them. By that point they typically walk (they already crawl around quite a bit and will even begin eating solid foods. I have 2 pictures of them. Thanks for your patience this time..
Update #3: There are now 2 puppies left. I am assuming that they must have caught something at the vet because I have never had anything like this before. Both are currently nursing and growing well but I am not making calls until they are older since this happened so quickly to the other puppies.
Update #2: I am assuming that the puppies must have encountered something when at the vet (for Elsa's Caesarean) because they are going from healthy to completely gone in minutes. I have lost the 3rd female and now another has done the same thing and I expect to lose her too. I am so sorry. I am suspending reservations until I know that they have made it through this.
Update: this post is from 3 hours after my last one and one of my females took a bad turn and does not look like she will make it.
It has been quite the past few days. I normally post on day #1 but I was not even in the country at the time! I was visiting my parents in Canada and found out the Elsa was having puppies. I hadn't even posted her page yet, let alone build a page for her puppies so it was quite a process once I returned. The puppies seem very content and Elsa has been a very good mother. Unfortunately, there were more puppies, but one was stuck in the birthing process and several did not make it as a result. The four we have seem to be eating and growing well but the first 2 weeks are always difficult so be aware that there is still a chance to lose a puppy during this delicate time.
